Jizz In My Pants response: "Puke In My Mouth" -MsTaken
this is a ladies' response to "Jizz In My Pants" by Lonely Island. we (the pantless knights) got approached by a gal who had an idea for a fake engagement ring to ward off douchebags. we thought the whole thing was hilarious and told her we wanted to make a music video for it. a few months later, here it is and we hope you like it! also, peep our cameos FTW!!! big ups to the girls puking in their mouths!

High production values make the first one interesting. I did smirk at the yoga bit. I totally lost the engagement ring gag, which was actually the inspiration for that whole skit. Overall, high quality with well-made-out ladies. I was surprised that two other women did the voices though. I guess it's hard to find the right women for on the camera and the right women for vocals. The interesting thing is that it was all set up (written, directed, shot, edited) by the two dudes who were hitting on the girls. So this "girl power" vid was made by guys. =^)
The second one made me laugh more. Their gags had much more range to them rather than sticking so close to a single gag like the original song was. It's super hard to mock something that is a parody itself. You have to mix it up with a lot of different gags to keep it interesting.

ReplyDeleteProduction values of the first one is really great. Funny factor... just not there for me. I think it's hard to parody something that is already comedy to begin with. Certainly if it was a serious song this song would work, but to me it's hard to top what The Lonely Island did with that song. Grade A for production quality. That's about it.
ReplyDeleteThis seems like a take from Christine Taylor (Ben Stiller's wife) in "Dodgeball" when his character tries to say "We should mate" and she responds with a "I just vommited in my mouth a little".
ReplyDeleteFirst one had better production values but the second one was funnier because the girls took themselves less seriously. Part of the hilarity to the "Jizz in My Pants" is that the two guys are over-the-top in their pant-jizzing.
ReplyDeleteI agree on the Dodgeball reference. I just think it's dangerous to compete with how funny the original was. I didn't need any followup. They aren't bad videos...
