SNL 11/15/09 - January Jones & the Black Eyed Peas

Andy Samberg teams with Fred Armisen for a digital short with some bathroom humor. Only two skits for Andy.

Overall, this was a great episode for showing off Jason Sudeikis' skills (his Biden, the cloud skit, Jimmy Stewart, Jon Bovi, and even the monologue). It's a good reminder of why he's still on the show.

Full Episode

January Jones hosts Nov 14.

Cold Opening - Biden Fixes Health Care

For the next week, Joe's running things.

Jason Sudeikis ... Joseph Biden

Monologue

The Mennies memorize every Mad Men episode.

January Jones
Fred Armisen ... Mad Mennie
Abby Elliott ... Joan
Bill Hader ... Mad Mennie
Jason Sudeikis ... Mad Mennie

January slips a few times in the beginning of her monologue. She also can't keep a straight face at the dudes. Abby nails it, of course.

Show - Today

Kathy Lee has a song to sing.

January Jones ... Suzanna Beesen
Black Eyed Peas
Abby Elliott ... Laurie Brinkley
Bill Hader ... Stephen Brinkley
Jenny Slate ... Hoda Kotb
Kristen Wiig ... Kathie Lee Gifford

Jenny Slate tries out Hoda. Pretty good job! January flubs a few lines and makes the skit lose momentum; she isn't used to live TV.

Sketch - Rear Window

The suspense is unbearable.

January Jones ... Grace Kelly
Fred Armisen ... marker
Bobby Moynihan ... Alfred Hitchcock
Jason Sudeikis ... Jimmy Stewart

Grace has a farting problem.

January cracks when Bobby comes in as Hitch at the end and with Jason's last line at the end. I think they might have been improv-ing a bit and catching her off guard, because she never cracked at the big lines and the fart sounds, so she was probably ready for those.

Sketch - WIIX News: Around the Town

A goddess works at the Dairy Queen.

January Jones ... Sarah Reynolds
Jason Sudeikis ... Gil
Kristen Wiig ... Michelle Dison

This is the awkward character that Kristen plays where she comes on to a woman.

Film - A Lady's Guide To Throwing A Party

There is so much to do for a cocktail party!

January Jones ... Marjorie Pettibone
Fred Armisen ... guest
Abby Elliott ... guest
Will Forte ... guest
Bill Hader ... husband
Andy Samberg ... guest
Jenny Slate ... guest
Kristen Wiig ... guest

Andy also appears in this instructional film that uses a similar humor as the digital shorts. Was Andy even there on Saturday? He wasn't in any live skits. Just the digital short and this one. Here he plays a Jewish guest with Jenny Slate. Jenny was an "Andy Samberg" friend at Andy's comedy show last week.

Musical Performance "I Gotta Feeling"

Black Eyed Peas

Weekend Update

Seth Meyers
Darrell Hammond ... Lou Dobbs
Kenan Thompson ... theme song singer (voice)
Nasim Pedrad ... Kim Kardashian
Will Forte ... Jon Bovi member
Jason Sudeikis ... Jon Bovi member

Lou Dobbs

Lou Dobbs makes a graceful, conspiratorial exit.

Darrell Hammond ... Lou Dobbs

Darrell pops in for a guest appearance. Glad he's still doing these.

Kim Kardashian

Kim stops by with an update on her sister's wedding.

Nasim Pedrad ... Kim Kardashian

Wow, Nadim really nailed this one! Keep it up Nadim! You're showing great value to the show!

Jon Bovi

Will Forte ... Jon Bovi member
Jason Sudeikis ... Jon Bovi member

Fan favorites. =^)
Funny ending from Meth Seyers.

Sketch - Scientific Symposium

The Doctor's secret is out.

January Jones ... Mrs. Jekyll
Fred Armisen ... Julius
Will Forte ... scientist
Bill Hader ... Dr. Jekyll
Bobby Moynihan ... scientist
Jason Sudeikis ... scientist

Film SNL Digital Short: Get Out

Someone is in here.

Fred Armisen ... guy
Nasim Pedrad ... girl
Andy Samberg ... guy

Hahaha. Nice little ending.

Musical Performance "Meet Me Halfway"

Black Eyed Peas

Sketch - Cloud Gazing

She sees clouds in the clouds.

January Jones ... Kelly
Jason Sudeikis ... guy

This was very funny and refreshing. Great job to both of them!

Musical Performance "Boom Boom Pow"

Black Eyed Peas

Overall, a good episode. January's laughing wasn't too bad. She kind of messed up the Today Show with her flubs, but Kristen had the only good parts at the beginning anyway.

Enjoy!
