Rumor: John Hamm to host SNL again in January

We just finished recording our podcast where we interviewed Rich Sommer about Mad Men (what, you think we talked to him about Tiger Woods?), and when the subject came around to leading man Jon Hamm, Sommer mentioned that Hamm will be hosting Saturday Night Live in January.



[If true,] that's great news; one of the funnier episodes of the last few seasons was Hamm's hosting stint last year. "Jon Hamm's John Ham" alone would have made the episode a classic, but his James Mason impersonation, among other sketches, made it a near-classic.

    Jon Hamm was great last season! I'd love to see him again. He's so charming!

    I agree that he was an enjoyable host, but I think they need to shake things up soon, and having him host again just isn't going to do it. They need bigger names, whether those names are popular hosts (like Timberlake), hosts with a rich history (like Steve Martin), alumni who haven't hosted yet (like Adam Sandler, Sarah Silverman, or Jim Belushi), popular comedians (like Ben Stiller, etc.), or older stars (like Tom Hanks, Bruce Willis, Denzel Washington, Johnny Depp, etc.).
