Finally a new Jenny Slate skit. Amusing character, but not hilarious. Most of the jokes are with Taylor or just because they're talking about Twilight. Overall, it's an amusing skit and worthy.
Andy pretty much is a background character here.

snl was great this week. I didn't really expect so much from taylor, cause in new moon you can't really tell whether he can act or not. and obviously he can do quite some stuff. I looooved andy in the christmas skit, he got a little fat though :D and i'd love for his hair to be a little longer, just like he used to wear it when he started on snl.
ReplyDeletewe did get a little kristen wiig break, did anyone notice? I think its a bit sad that all she does now are the same weird characters, like penelope and gilli etc. although she does so many great impressions.
the team jacob - team edwart skit was brilliant, and taylor looked ridiculous as a girl :D with the big muscles and tiny jenny next to him :D
jenny slate can do funny, but she's not a keeper. she's just not as good as nasim who already has some kick-ass impressions. (my favorite: mahmuds wife)

Yeah, I'll talk more about the Kristen break tomorrow. I do think they pulled out a few funny ideas even though Taylor himself isn't overly funny. I loved the monologue and the Twilight Debate. I also liked the Doorbells skit Jenny did (it took awhile before I started liking it though).
I agree that Jenny still hasn't proven that she will be asked back. She's still probably at a state where Lorne might need to keep looking for a fourth girl. I also wonder if he's going to get more young men next season. It's about time, but they'll probably need to lose a few of the guys who have been on for awhile.
