Awards are given out for common Thanksgiving dinner forgettable moments.
This was played in the last episode's Thanksgiving episode during the dress rehearsal. It obviously didn't make the show. Andy plays a teenager who doesn't believe.
So the way the dress rehearsal goes is that they usually have three or so too many skits, and then they cut the ones that get the most groans or the least laughs or seem like they are just bad ideas when the producers see them in their full form. And then they might also cut another skit or two just because the timing isn't working out and the other skits are going too long. So this could've been cut because it was horrible (I'm hoping the producers saw how bad it was) or because time ran out.

Let me get this straight: We are routinely subjected to Fred's awful characters, but skits like this don't make the cut?

ReplyDeleteAnony 2, Hahahaha. Yeah, pretty much. But this is hardly a good argument. I wouldn't want to swap this in for Fred's bad characters. I'd rather just have better skits. =^)

Oh, and Fred has a few characters/impressions I love, like Gov Patterson, the Native American comedian, Garth and Kat (obviously out of Fred's head), and that one character on Weekend Update who keeps getting distracted and never says anything. But yeah, he's also got some stinkers.
