In short, it was an attempt made by Fred Wolf to fill some of the time gaps with short animated bits (to fill in the void from Saturday TV Funhouse leaving). There were only two episodes, and they both aired at the beginning of this past season. They featured the voices of Dana Carvey and David Spade, so the idea was that they'd tap SNL alumni for voice talent.
It's a good idea, but the concept wasn't all that great and the shorts themselves just weren't funny enough. Granted, it's hard to make them funny and short, but you have to at least nail the funny part, and these didn't.
Here's one of them...
Film - American AmericaI, Hippie
Dana Carvey ... hippie
An old hippie recalls how it was back in his heyday.
Animation by Wirestone
Character Narration - Dana Carvey
Music - Mark Mancina
Written by Fred Wolf
Enjoy!
