It's pretty sad when the parody of our Vice President is far more entertaining than the parody of our President. Fred Armisen needs to put some personality in his Obama parody to get us through the next 4 or 8 years of SNL.

Digital Short: Everyone's A Critic

Paul Rudd paints a masterpiece in his latest film.



Holy crack in the smack! Wow. This is a mix between gay jokes, random humor, and violent shock humor. Wow. I like the random stuff, but the rest... not so much. Andy and Paul were much funnier in the promo for this episode.

Update: Snagglepuss

Snagglepuss weighs in on Prop 8.



Bobby Moynihan does a great impression of Snagglepuss as he comes out of the closet. This is interesting. This is typically the character that Andy Sambeg would play. Bobby typically has more voices though, so it will be interesting to see Bobby pick up more of these characters.

You'll hear when it's working...



Bill Hader narrates this Jason Sudeikis and Kristen Wiig commercial. Jason and Kristen work well together.


OVERALL: Andy was hilarious in the ensemble kissing piece. Jason Sudeikis further cements his Biden as a fun parody. The Portrait piece was amusing at first, and then just mad me cringe a lot. I think the winner of the week is Bobby Moynihan and his Snagglepus impression. Andy usually gets these roles (what with the Swedish Chef, Cathy, and original silliness like the Jogger).

Anony made a good point in the comments... The best skit is arguably Andy, Justin, and Bobby in leotards dancing as Beyonce's backup dancers. It's awesome that Andy and Bobby are doing some bits together (they also did backup singing and dancing together to Kristen Wiig's Pelosi song a few weeks back). Bobby is a hilarious and silly new player, which was Andy's deal, so it's great to see them collab, especially with Justin Timberlake!!!
