Andy Samberg - His INCREDIBAD CD

Update: We added links to their Lonely Island songs, and we added the lineup of the actual songs to be released on the CD.

The Lonely Island To Drop CD In 09

At first glance, you might be thinking to yourself “Who is The Lonely Island?” TLI is the group of lovable writers that are single-handedly keeping America interested in Saturday Night Live with their ‘SNL Digital Shorts’ skits.

It turns out that The Lonely Island crew (Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer) are going to be releasing a CD titled INCREDIBAD come Feb. 2009. No word has been heard yet if the group will be including and versions of their previous hits like ‘Junk in a Box’ or ‘Lazy Sunday’, but we do know that the first single will be their last SNL effort, “Jizzed In My Pants”. Here’s a little info on them from Wiki:

The Lonely Island (TLI) is a group of filmmakers founded in 2001 by Akiva Schaffer, Jorma Taccone, and Andy Samberg (aka The Dudes). The group was originally from Los Angeles, California but now reside in New York. The Lonely Island has created numerous comedic films, shorts, parody songs, and music videos. They have written shorts for the popular television show Saturday Night Live, most notably “Lazy Sunday” and “Junk in a Box”. They have made three full-length television pilots, all of which were rejected. The group operates a web site under the same name that showcases their collaborations. The site also includes a blog from second-tier member Chester Tam, often referred to as Chez (pronounced CHAY). The blog, titled Chez Chat, gives humorous summaries of the site’s updates.

The three core members currently work together as writers on Saturday Night Live. In August of 2007 the group premiered their first feature film, Hot Rod.

TLI will be releasing an album called INCREDIBAD in 2009 under the Universal Republic record label.

On another note, since when are you allowed to say ‘jizzed’ on national TV?
