No 'Saturday Night Live' stars on the Emmy list of Top 10 best supporting comedy actors
Looks like the joke is on the cast of "Saturday Night Live." This year Emmy rules permit them to scoot from the category for variety performers to comedy acting and, alas, none of the lads (Fred Armisen, Darrell Hammond, Seth Meyers, Andy Samberg, etc.) got the last laugh. They're still eligible in other categories. Last year Samberg shared an Emmy with Justin Timberlake and others for writing the music and lyrics to "D**k in a Box."

Instead, the runoff of Top 10 contenders for best comedy actor involves these chaps — below — who are largely the usual suspects except for that nice surprise Jack McBrayer.
