Andy Samberg poked fun at newly broke movie star Nicolas Cage in a parody of The View on this week's episode of Saturday Night Live hosted by Taylor Swift. Representatives for Nicolas Cage recently announced that the Oscar winning actor was being forced to liquidate his assets due to bad financial management.
Andy Samberg played Nicolas Cage playing a guest on SNL's running spoof of the ladies of The View. Kristen Wiig played a germaphobic but patriotic version of Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Fred Armisen reprised his role as Joy Behar with his signature tagline "So what? Who cares?" Keenan Thompson played Whoopi Goldberg. New featured SNL cast member Nasim Pedrad played Barbara Walters. Taylor Swift played Kate Gosselin sitting in for Sherri Shepherd.
When the "ladies" of The View asked "Nicolas Cage" what was next for him now that he'd lost his millions, Andy Samberg replied: "I'm going to steal the Declaration of Independence. Or maybe I'll make another movie where I say:'Ahhhh! Watch OUT!!!'".
