You see, when someone is a star, like Andy Samberg, you have to move a lot. Or you have to own several houses. For example, Andy Samberg works in New York, but he flies to LA all the time to meet with agents and to audition for or meet about being in films.
So how do celebrities move? Do they just buy several houses and live in them?
Or do they constantly rent new apartments for a few months? When Andy Samberg was working on Hot Rod, he, Jorma, and Akiva all rented an apartment and lived in there together while they shot the movie.
So that got us wondering if there are any good online moving resources for celebrities and stars to use, or for anyone to use, for that matter.
That led us to a site called Move Me. "Makes sense," we thought. "That's a logical name." It looks like Move Me is for the UK, but I'm curious if they'll branch out to the US as well. They probably well if they continue to be successful.

MoveMe.com is an online resource that "makes moving simple." They provide all the information and do all the leg work for you. They help you buy, rent, and sell to get into the house or apartment you need (mostly by providing resources and information). They also get into the details like Rental Advice, Mortgages, and Home Surveys.
The site serves people who are looking for renting or buying homes, moving to new homes and looking for finance to take care of their homes. The site helps you plan your move, it gives you free quotes, and it helps you connect your home services (such as utilities).

Then they also excel in removal services. That includes moving companies, storage companies, and more. So you can go there to get removal quotes. They can help you find the right removal company. Apparently, there are specific firms called man and van firms that specialize in removing your stuff for you, loading it into their vans, taking it to your new house, and then unloading it for you. They do the whole thing for you. This page gives you a sweet quotes tool, ways for you to prepare for them, and the right questions for you to ask them: http://www.moveme.com/man-and-van
Then they also provide connection services, where you can fill out a simple form and transfer your gas, electricity, phone, broadband, mail, and other utilities from your current company to your new company in your new house. I checked it out, the form is incredibly simple. They have some great tools to make the transition easy.
And then for moving in, they provide services that include meter readings, TV license transfers (not sure what that is), locksmiths, and alarms. They even provide a moving plan and checklist! They thought of a lot more than I would have, that's for sure!!!
The first question I asked was, "How much?" Well, apparently they charge nothing. It's absolutely free. They are able to provide a free service because they make money when you hire a company through their site. In fact, not only do they make money off those deals, but you also get a discount because they negotiate down the prices for you! So it's really a win win situation for everybody.
Not only do they have online resources and tools, but they also invite you to call them:

So far, this is the main one I found, and I don't think they provide their services to the US yet, but I hope they will eventually. They also have a lot of tips and plans that would help in any country, so you might want to check them out if you're moving.
I just kept thinking how useful this service would be for celebrities or stars who have to move a few times a year.
That's it. Thanks for reading!
