Andy Samberg played Mark Wahlberg on 10/04/08, the Anne Hathaway episode, and on 1/10/09, the Neil Patrick Harris episode. This was after Andy promised Mark Wahlberg that he wouldn't do the impression again. It was too popular not to repeat it!!!


Andy is the third SNL cast member to do a Mark Wahlberg impression. The first was the person who Andy got confused with... Adam Sandler:



Adam Sandler portrayed Mark Wahlberg one time, on 2/6/93, the Luke Perry episode. The skit was called "Sassy's Sassiest Boys."




The second Mark Wahlberg impression was done on 11/8/97 (the Jon Lovitz episode), by Jim Breuer (best known for Goat Boy and the Joe Pesci Show).






But neither of those two appearances (by Jim or Adam) were popular enought to do more than once (plus not to mention that Andy's skit was popular enough to get Mark Wahlberg to appear on SNL, something he's never done before).
