Ofcourse! Absolutely! He has a great natural ability and a lot of strengths as an actor. I think a lot of people question, b/c they have no idea how much he's capable of. I really think he has so much more than anyone knows about and like the rest of his trio- super amounts of talent! He's only just begun! :)
Yeah, I think so. I love watching him in anything. If he were to attempt a dramatic role, I would definately support him.
I think he could, but it would be definitely weird to see him to something more dramatic. But I would totally watch whatever he does.

totally!! i mean he's on saturday night live and he has 2 try not 2 laugh in the sketches and im sure ALOT of people couldnt do that i know i couldnt. and he is a great actor im sure he can pull off anything :)

In Bollywood Hero he was being kind of serious, sort of. I think he could pull it off. Jorm though, in The 'Bu, was a really good drama actor. Just sayin'.
It would be quite a change, but Andy can handle it. As long as he gave the role his all and wasnt goofing around, he could totally pull it off. Asthon Kutcher did it, he's got more serious roles now, so why not Andy?
Kelsey has a good point. If goofballs like Ashton Kutcher and Robin Williams (both also started in TV) could pull it off, then Andy Samberg definitely can.

Sorry for the direct opinion, but regardless of how talented Andy is, and that I've come around to liking Ashton, neither will ever compare to the great Robin Williams, I just would never put Robin in the same boat, especially with Ashton. Plus, Robin went to Julliard and, although a comedian, still handled dramatic roles with a tour de force, way before Mork and Mindy. Personally, despite Ashton's many talents and obvious business savvy, Andy, to me, is waaayyyyy funnier and capable of more- in the acting arena.
Well of course he can! He can pretty much do anything he sets his mind to since he's so damn amazing. Well, not only that, but drama is a lot more easy to pull of than comedy, and since this guy's got the comedy down already to a T, then the drama shouldn't be a challenge for him in the least.
Coedians have always been known to pull off dramatic roles pretty well. Though it sounds like he wants to stick to comedy and that's what I'd prefer. I like to laugh and some of the stuff Adam Sandler has done has turned me off to seeing some of his films because I just see him as a funny guy. He is great at playing serious stuff, but I like laughs...
I agree about Adam Sandler, but I don't blame him. He pretty much only does dramas when other people hire him to do them. Usually he does his own comedies. The end result is that an Adam Sandler comedy movie is like a sequel in a series of Adam Sandler movies. That's the kind of thing that Andy and TLI need to pull of.
