I wish they cut it up like NBC does... then you could just watch the Andy interview. You can argue that they try to hook people into watching the whole thing and all the commercials, but that likely reduces overall views by setting the barrier higher.

Andy does a Swedish Chef and Nick Cage impression. Andy and the ladies talk about doing a Digital Short where they rob a bank. Then Andy shoots some hoops. You'll want to stop at 28:40. So we only get 5 minutes of Andy Samberg, but still.

Andy says "and movie stuff", but they don't ask him for specifics. He's had a few supporting roles (Friends with Benefits, What's Your Number, and the upcoming Hotel Transylvania and Aubrey Plaza's "The To Do List"), and he's in a lead in two upcoming movies, Donny's Boy (formerly "I Hate You Dad", with costar Adam Sandler) and Jesse and Celeste Forever (with costar Rashida Jones).

Since it was a question of what TLI was doing... Jorma Taccone is acting in the TV Show "Up All Night", and Akiva Schaffer is directing Neighborhood Watch (Ben Stiller, Jonah Hill, and Vince Vaughn), The Adventurer's Handbook (Jonah Hill, Jason Segel, and Jason Schwartzman), and Henchmen (a Bill Hader comedy about, you guessed it, the evil henchmen).

Andy Samberg, TLI, and Michael Bolton perform at the Emmys!

But in addition to Michael Bolton, they also included Akon, John Stamos, Ed Helms, Maya Rudolph, and William H. Macy! What a crazy performance! They need to keep doing things like this and the Emmys will bring Andy back to host! They gotta know Andy is pure television gold...



There were also seagulls, crazy mustaches, and lots of sex! Also pretty sure I saw a couple of Na'vi tribesmen from "Avatar" writhing around near Cap'n Jack Sparrow. It's pretty crazy, so you kind of need to watch it for yourself. More than once. There's lots of visual metaphors that you'll probably miss on the first two viewings. Andy Samberg's Shark Week online video contest

The Discovery Channel is casting a wide net on social media for Shark Week with a user-generated advertising contest, a co-viewing app for the iPhone and iPad and plugs by Andy Samberg.



The build-up for the event, which runs the week of July 31, begins Tuesday with on-air promos from Samberg. The cable channel also ran a contest from June 13 to July 1 seeking 30-second video commercials from fans. Sixteen of the top videos will vie against each other in a bracketed competition on Shark Week's website. The top two ads will run on the channel during Shark Week.

That effort builds on last year's contest on YouTube that asked fans to make videos promoting Shark Week.

A Discovery rep says that the channel is stepping things up this year because “Shark Week” was frequently a trending topic on Twitter when it aired. Overall, there were 91,000 tweets related to Shark Week.

To foster more such communication, Discovery has partnered with GetGlue for a sticker campaign that began Tuesday (and featured Lady Gaga’s Teeth). There’s also a @SharkWeek trivia contest on Twitter and a Shark Week Live app for the iPhone and iPad that will aggregate all the social media conversation on Twitter and Facebook around Shark Week and include extra content like behind-the-scenes photos.

The channel has also drafted social media favorite Andy Samberg as “chief shark officer” to star in promos, interstitials and a program called Shark City.

Shark Week, now in its 24th year, continues to be a success for Discovery. Last year’s Shark Week brought in 30.8 million viewers -- a new record. The channel has also added seven new hours of content this year and will run a total of 18 hours of shark-related programming during primetime.

Lady Gaga's Teeth and a Frightened Andy Samberg

The Discovery Channel has released their first promo for this year’s Shark Week featuring Lady Gaga’s “Teeth” and a frightened Andy Samberg.



The 32-year-old “SNL” comedian is the network’s first-ever Chief Shark Officer and will kick off the fun on July 31st at 9pm. Last year’s event was watched by over 30 million people. “Everyone loves Shark Week. It’s the Bill Cosby of week-long television blocks dedicated to sea animals,” Samberg said earlier in a statement.

Andy Samberg breast feeds on the Today Show

Andy Samberg Tries to Breast-Feed a Baby Doll on 'Today' (VIDEO)



Andy Samberg of 'Saturday Night Live' lovingly nurtured a (fake) baby on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM ET on NBC). In fact, Samberg was so intent upon breastfeeding the baby that he pretended to do so throughout his entire segment and even during a commercial break.

"I found this little lady backstage and she seemed starving. So, I'm doing my duty," Samberg said, cradling the baby doll. "She's hungry."

"Now, what the audience doesn't know is he's been sitting here with us for six minutes the entire time doing it. And, literally, while we're talking about other things, he's cooing, rocking and taking care. You have lovely, nurturing instincts," said Kathie Lee Gifford.

"Well, thank you very much. Mama raised me right," said Samberg.

All of that childcare of course begs the question from Kathie Lee: ‘Do you want to have children someday?”

It definitely looks like Andy has lost some weight and gone back to his lean, mean former self. Do you like it?

Andy talks basketball, the White House correspondence dinner, and Turtleneck & Chain.

So logically, the reason why they release the clean versions is because 13 year olds and under like their music, and they don't want to ruin lives. Still, I wonder if those kids watch the clean versions (I imagine they wouldn't unless their parents make them).

Anybody here 13 or younger? Do you watch (or listen to) the clean versions? Only when your parents are around?

So once again this is direct proof that Joanna Newsom was there at the Comedy Awards and that she and Andy are still dating. It's amazing that they went so long without their fans seeing them together. But I think them getting their privacy is a good thing. This is how it should work. We shouldn't know about it anyway until they come out together publically like this.

Andy Samberg and TLI's hilarious Jimmy Fallon interview & "We're Back"

So Andy Samberg and the dudes sit down with Jimmy Fallon and talk it out.

Elton John digital short tonight! However, from the way Andy announced it, methinks it is not a musical digital short. But we'll see!



Andy Samberg coins the term "I Biebered" by referring to winking. It's also funny that of the four of them, Jimmy was the one to crack, "Pulling a Bieber is something totally different." Hilarious!

The Lonely Island boys show off their rejected album covers and reveal the final photo: “Turtleneck & Chain,” which Jorma explains was what they were wearing when they met in 7th grade. My favorite album cover was Andy's: 3 Morks. That would have been awesome! Keep it Simple was also pretty funny (we showed that one here already). Which was your favorite?

I suspect they weren't really rejected. They just brainstormed a lot of crazy ideas and turned all the funny ones into album covers.

I'm thinking that they might actually show more digital shorts on Jimmy Fallon. Jimmy has time to kill every night, and they can't always get their digital shorts in on SNL (this week it would be because this one is pure shock value and they have wanted to do one with Elton John instead). So maybe they'll show more shorts on Jimmy Fallon when they don't fit on SNL for whatever reason.

This is good for us fans, because that means more digital shorts from the dudes!

Um, yeah, The Lonely Island has grown up? A total shock song. They announce that Akiva has a baby. Is it true? Probably, because the rumors are going around and they just spoke of it, but I'm not 100% certain.

I'm a little disappointed with this song, because I don't find these shock songs funny (reminds me of Roy Rules, Sloths, Tucker's Song, and Giraffes). What do you think?

And the reality is that half this song is bleeped. You can find the uncensored version on their YouTube channel.

All well, at least their interview was hilarious.
