Andy Samberg SNL promo with Russell Brand

Andy does his second SNL promo in a row with host Russell Brand (last week he did one with Dana Carvey)!

Russell Brand hosts Saturday Night Live with musical guest Chris Brown on Feb. 12.



My guess is it means more and more hosts want to do stuff with Andy. Afterall, in Dana's monologue, Dana got the most cheers (he had to get them to stop cheering), Andy got the second most with very loud hoots, followed by Kristen Wiig, Jon Lovitz, and Bill Hader. Andy is probably the most popular person on the show. I'm hoping he can leverage that to getting in more films (the Adam Sandler one and the Three Stooges one would make his film career).

Anyway, do you like these Andy jokes with Russell? These are obviously written by Andy.

What? Three posts in one day? What's the world coming too?

Dana Carvey hosts an all-new SNL 2/5 with musical guest Linkin Park. SCHWINGGG!



Wow. Jim Carrey and now Dana Carvey? SNL loves us!

Andy and Dana are hilarious here together, with Akiva doing his normal editing thing on the "Potato Man" title.

Dana is showing his age a little where Andy actually looks better doing Dana's gags.

Wow, the "schwing" gag is amazing. Talk about dedication to craft. I was laughing hysterically and had to watch it a few times just because I couldn't believe that they did that. They did the same gag for 30 seconds or so, knowing that the awkwardness of it would make it funny. Had to be Andy's idea.

I always see Andy doing these promos and it kind of makes me want a Lonely Island show where the whole show is Andy (and Jorm and Akiva) doing skits like their digital shorts with stars like Dana.

Overall, a great promo! Did you like it?

Gwyneth Paltrow hosts an all-new SNL 1/15 with musical guest Cee Lo Green.



Andy explains in the first gag that Gweneth is in London, and her flight got delayed. That means she'll have more work to do when she gets there! Especially because the host is usually an integral part of picking the skits. She could have done that remotely, but it's not the same.

I love the gags here, especially the button gag at the end!

Hahahaha. This one is more Andy's style for these promos (other than his last promo). In this one, you know that he prepared a few ideas and didn't just show up and improv. One promo is a random effects-tastic reference to Traveling Pants, and the other one is a well set-up, random reference to Gossip Girl.

Andy's hilarious. He didn't have amazing jokes this time, but it was still very funny! First off, his goofy gag "I like this one" gets funnier with each view, especially when you start noticing the facial expressions. Second, his dorky "too late I already did" is very funny. Third, his award joke isn't the best, but still good.

He's too modest, though. He's also an Emmy winner! Hey, why isn't Fergie hosting?

No idea what Andy could do with January.

And here's Fred Armisen promoting SNL with Fred Armisen:



So it seems like January can't sing well. Nothing wrong with that. Fred says something in the third gag at the end about Mad Men that makes January laugh. Anybody catch what he says? Something like "it's cordless."

TAE: The hilarious Host with the Most bit comes from Andy's venture into humor like that of Michael Cera. Overall, I think Megan is off to a good start, and in "Host with the Most" she comes across as cute and not vicious. Also, in Sexy Sandwiches, I like how Megan keeps her eyes on Andy to time her sandwich eating precisely with his. Nice!
